Adapting to Climate Change in Kyuso

This film shows how climate change is affecting the community of Kyuso, in Kenya. Joseph Mwangangi and Joseph Meithya Kasawla explain how the rains have failed in recent years, leading to crop failures and food shortages in the region. Many people now have to buy grain from the Kenya Cereals Board, and prices are increasing rapidly.

However, some farmers are successfully using water harvesting techniques learnt in Farmer Field Schools. Nzambi Odilla shows how digging trenches to conserve runoff water has enabled her to grow mangoes on her farm, providing food and income.
