Adaptation Academy: Oxford Foundation Course 2012

Researchers in the field

The Global Climate Adaptation Partnership (GCAP) holds an annual training programme, the Adaptation Academy Foundation Course, focused on professional skill development centred on practical climate change adaptation issues. GCAP partners with the University of Reading, University of Cape Town, SysTem for Analysis, Research and Training (START) and UK Met Office (linking to their online training programme) to deliver the Adaptation Academy. In the past two years, successful Courses were hosted in Cape Town, South Africa at the University of Cape Town. For 2012, we will host the third Foundation Course at the Oxford University Department of Continuing Education (Rewley House) in the United Kingdom.

The Foundation Course will be three weeks long, running from the 13th – 31st August 2012 and will focus on practical issues facing professionals working in the climate adaptation and on developing their capacity to become change makers, consequently influencing how the world tackles current and future climate change challenges.
